Grade 2 Curriculum
Who went to a dame school? What does "sylvania" (as in Pennsylvania) mean?
Do you understand Chinook Jargon? Let your students travel across the fifty
states in both time and space with Across America's 38 units. Beginning at
the Eastern seaboard in the founding states, they will learn what life was
like in the early days of each one. As they learn about some of the unique
features of each state, children will cover all second-grade objectives. Subjects
correlated with the state theme include Bible/character, science/health, social
studies, reading, spelling, expression skills, study/critical thinking, math,
physical education, music, and art. Weekly goals-and-supplies lists are followed
by daily lesson plans. The teacher manual and student worksheets come in 3-ring
binders, and a variety of packages is offered.
You can teach four grades (1st through 4th) together by using this second-grade curriculum and ordering the supplemental grade units!
