High School Classes (Grades 9-12)
To give parents and students some extra guidance regarding our classes and recommendations for the four years of high school, we've created these lists of classes broken down by "tracks." This is not a formal system, merely a rough guide. For example, you might choose English Fundamentals 1 for your students freshman year. After experience and improvement, you may find that your student is ready for English 2 by sophomore year, and that's perfectly fine. Or you may have a student who can take English and history classes from the Honors track but needs math classes from the Basic track. For more information on these classes, please see High School Classes - view by subject or follow the link for each class.
Our Basic track is meant for students who are not academically inclined and/or who are not interested in pursuing college. Remember, this is not a formal system, and you are in no way locked in. This is simply an example of how a student not planning on college might meet our graduation requirements.
This track is for students who intend on pursuing college, but who are not ready for part or all of the Honors track.
The Honors track is for students who have exceptional academic skills in one or more areas. It is designed to provide a greater number of credits, particularly in academic areas, than our other tracks.
