This edition of As You Like It, edited by Frances E. Dolan, was redesigned in an easy-to-read format that preserves the favorite features of the original. It includes essays on the theatrical world of Shakespeare and texts of Shakespeare, an introduction to the play itself, and a note on the text used for this edition.

This is part of Hewitt's Lightning Literature & Composition curriculum (See Related Items below). From our Guide by Elizabeth Kamath:
The plot for As You Like It is based on a story by Thomas Lodge called Rosalynd, originally published in 1590. Shakespeare makes the story both his own and very much better, as you can prove to yourself by reading a copy of Rosalynd, easily found on the Internet.

The original Rosalynd is set in France, and there are some touches in this play (especially some characters’ names) that hint at a French setting, but what country we’re in is unimportant. More important to note is that the play has two settings: the Forest of Arden and outside the Forest.
