This course syllabus centers around the four gospels each having a different focus: principles in Luke, miracles in Mark, parables in Matthew, and Jesus’ sayings about Himself in John. Students are asked to read two different translations. They will also construct a timeline using a harmony of the Gospels (this is a required separate purchase, but a simple one is included with the text, The Life of Christ [see Related Items below]) and draw a map of Israel. The text is read throughout the four quarters. The syllabus includes reproducible worksheet pages for each gospel, plus a daily lesson chart showing how to divide the text and scripture readings into a 36-week study.

The course follows the same schedule of Bible reading as the high-school course The Christ Encounter so the two courses can be taught togther.
